I got this reply from Andrew Gwynne MP 13th September 2013 at 14.02. It isn’t part of the school – it is land set aside by Sport England for replacement public playing fields :-

Further to your email of 8th September 2012, I have asked Stockport MBC to clarify if the land that has been fenced off is part of the school or public open space.
