Dear Sir or Madam

I am often at Stockport Town Hall. Many Stockport residents will be familiar with our gentle, peaceful town hall
protester. After a decade of trying to
get his complaint dealt with by Stockport Council without success (and I have
been 18 months trying to get them to acknowledge my complaint about anomalies
of several million pounds without any response at all), he decided to stand
peacefully on the town hall steps, with his jolly sign and cheery manner to all
passersby, till the Council did something about his complaint. Well, the Council did something alright. They
called the police to him over 70 times; so if you need the police and they
don’t come it is because Stockport Council is wasting police time. He was in court this week charged with
assault with a sneeze with intent to inflict a council employee with a cold. Is
that how you want your council tax spent on such a Mickey Mouse case? The Council runs the Magistrates Court, so not much of a fair hearing likely there. The LibDem Executive councillors were made
fully aware of what was going on and did nothing to stop this lunacy.

He now has a CRASBO (a
criminal ASBO) for sneezing and is not allowed near Council buildings.

So, a warning to the people
of Stockport. Don’t try to complain about Stockport Council –
they have sinister ways of shutting you
up.

Stunell MP stated he was not qualified enough to help, and I should seek the
advice of a lawyer. Andrew Stunell MP did write to the Stockport Council Chief
Executive then and again in 2007 to find out what was happening and requesting
to be kept informed, and as far as it is now the Chief Executive has still not
yet replied….”

After asking for this since the mid 90s, Stunell finally agrees in April 2010 to try to have the errors regarding her date of birth corrected on Mr Parnell’s daughter’s official documents. If Mr Parnell took her to A & E, for example, she simply didn’t exist on their records. It was not unreasonable to Mr Parnell to ask for this to be corrected. What took Mr Stunell so long?

Stunell gets a non-reply from Stockport Council in November 2007. When by 2011 nothing has been sorted out and I try to help Mr Parnell, Stunell is very snotty indeed. What exactly had the useless MP been doing for the previous 4 years?

By 2011 Stunell knew Mr Parnell was a sick man who had been subjected to hundreds of custodies, dozens of arrests, innumerable court cases, repeated imprisonment in a tough Manchester prison, 2 years 8am to 8pm house arrest and year after year he was not allowed to go within one mile of Stockport Town hall. And the useless MP has the cheek to moan when I get involved to try to sort out his case.

Of course, Mr Parnell RIP was correct. Posthumously the police have admitted he was innocent. Have a look at all these custodies, arrests, court cases, imprisonments.

Mr Parnell had been asking Stockport Council for the previous decade for help for his lovely, troubled daughters adopted from Stockport Council. As their need for help increased and the Council refused to help, Mr Parnell stood on the Town Hall steps night and day begging for help. They just kept arresting him. Useless MP Andrew Stunell just tells him to stay away from council buildings and businesses.
