“Figures obtained by the Stockport Express through the Freedom of Information Act reveal £15,000 has been spent on furniture and £2,500 on an interactive electronic whiteboard for Eamonn Boylan’s offices.
The two rooms used by the council chief executive and his two support staff were also painted at a cost of £980 and £2,257 was spent on new carpets before Mr Boylan took over. The refurbishment came out of the council’s property refurbishment budget, which is £1.7m per year.”
“Eamon Boylan, chief executive of Stockport, spent £57.38 on lunch in the
brasserie of Searcy’s champagne bar at St Pancras..”

“Housing minister Grant Shapps announced early on that the TSA would be abolished as part of the cull of quangos by the coalition government after the 2010 general election. In June 2010, he said that the HCA would be retained but become “smaller, more strategic – with the HCA’s functions being delivered under local leadership.”
In September 2010, the HCA was also included on a list of organisations being considered for closure. However, Shapps announced in October that the TSA would be merged into the HCA. In November, he confirmed that the HCA would be retained, but reformed to cut running costs.” Wikipedia.
Why did we pay him a salary £30k more than his predecessor? Iffy or what?

Dear FoI Officer
Boylan is a trustee of Common Purpose. Who exactly
was on the panel which chose him for the post?
Kind regards
Sheila
