We were telling the LibDem Executive the site for the school was contaminated

But they wouldn’t listen.

They decided not to look for contamination under the football pitch – most of the site

Naomi Harries, of Greater Manchester Geological Unit, Urban
Vision, Salford Council, told a diversion of footpath public inquiry on 06/01/10
that there were changes in legislation which meant that work was done which led
to the contamination subsequently being found after she had stated that the
school area was safe. Andrew Webb, Director of Children and Young People’s
Department, repeated this claim to local parents. The Council are refusing to
say what changes in legislation

BS 10175 (7.6.2.5), which the Council and Greater Manchester
Geological Unit claim to have complied with in their April 2006 investigations,
states that a high density of sampling grid can also be necessary where a high
level of confidence is required for the outcome of a risk assessment.
Presumably, for 550 primary school pupils and 78 babies directly on top of a
still gassing former toxic waste dump a high level of confidence would be
required. Apparently not!

Chidren shouldn’t be exposed to over 0.5% v/v carbon dioxide for more than 8 hours according to Stockport Council’s experts

But the site of the new primary school at Harcourt Street is gassing up to 14.7%v/v Carbon Dioxide

Stockport LibDems put new primary on sister toxic waste dump site to this one

Never trust a LibDem with your child’s safety

£6.9m was to come from capital receipts, in the end only £1.6m did

Vale View School Posted on Sun, March 08, 2015 07:35

Stockport LibDems stated that £6,679,000 to fund the new toxic waste dump primary school was coming from capital receipts – the sale of redundant school land for housing. I knew from attending meetings that they couldn’t sell this land, so I raised this matter repeatedly with the LibDem Executive Council at Stockport. Don’t be vexatious, they said, and they still do.

As you will see from the second document, only £1.6m came in the end from capital receipts meaning circa £5m had then to be borrowed to finance this ludicrously expensive school. Still, we mustn’t be “vexatious” and question corrupt LibDems.

“Obvious concern over funding” and how much goes before the Project Board

Vale View School Posted on Sun, March 08, 2015 06:57

Whilst simultaneously calling me vexatious for raising this matter, meeting minutes show there is obvious concern over funding and they are worrying about how much of the true situation they convey to the Project Board. Still, mus’t be vexatious and question a LibDem.

September 2007 they say it will cost £8.5m but by March 2008 it is £9.93m. Why?

Vale View School Posted on Sun, March 08, 2015 06:51

Still, we must never question the actions of LibDems or we might be sent to prison (Mr Parnell RIP).
