“Have your say on school places”

LibDem Councillors Posted on Sat, July 19, 2014 20:09

Have my say! Why did the dodgy LibDems close a large number of primary schools circa 2005 despite warnings from sensible people that the places would be needed in the future? Why build the Vale View School deliberately too small (fraud)?

Answer to both? Dodgy dosh, and we have to pay the price.

The LibDems shouldn’t get away with this.

full,….”

We are just getting the road to buy LibDem Votes.

Lots of public money available to buy LibDem Votes

“While serious cuts are still being made to public expenditure, it is more
important, not less, that value for money is achieved and the evidence for this
can be understood and audited by the public at large as well as interested
organisations.”

Cheadle Constituency Link Road for votes – pork barrel politics:- http://www.politicshome.com/uk/story/36543/

“Danny Alexander personally intervened to ensure approval of a £300m road project in a marginal Lib Dem constituency, the Financial Times has claimed…”

Very high growth of traffic has not materialised

Bypass Posted on Sat, July 19, 2014 07:42

“The point here is that they were supported as a result of using traffic models that predicted very high
traffic growth some of which has not materialised and with the absolute
condition that they were part of a package. However only parts of the SEMMMS
package are now going ahead. The argument that SEMMMS can act to avoid a
consideration of alternatives which complies with national appraisal guidance
(and thus requires a full Options Report) is completely
flawed.”

Expert’s opinion – likely to be ignored

“The strategy, and all the schemes within it, was seen as a unified whole, and
the package would have to be completely reviewed if parts were not to be
implemented.”

Courtesey of the Stockport Express –

Stunell promotes doomed-to-failure road for votes….

Bypass Posted on Thu, July 17, 2014 20:30

…then slags off innocent council officers when the excrement hits the air circulation device. What a man! Council officers can’t answer back:-

http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/stockport-road-plans-thrown-out-7418349

“Hazel Grove MP Sir Andrew Stunell said: “The idea seems to have been dreamt-up behind the scenes by officers on Cheshire East and Stockport Councils. The LibDems in Hazel Grove spoke out against it immediately and forced the council to drop the plans.”

The Council is the dodgy LibDems! They told themselves to drop the barmy idea. Doh.

The bypass can’t be built because the SEMMMS bible – the 2001 Final Report states:-

“6.43 • constructing only one or two but not all of the A6(M), the Poynton Bypass and MALRW to the design previously proposed would simply amplify the existing traffic related problems experienced in the Hazel Grove, Poynton, Woodford, Bramhall, Handforth and Heald Green areas, the areas affected depending on the combination of schemes. As the impacts of traffic in these areas was one of the principal congestion-related problems identified during the course of Phase 1, such a result clearly acted against achieving the study’s defined objectives; ..”

Andrew Stunell, some might conclude, is a nasty piece of work.

He and Hunter, Goddard, Roberts, Derbyshire et al got their mate First Secretary to the Treasury, Danny Alexander, to engage in pork barrel politics and give the go-ahead for the “Cheadle Constituency Link Road” when there wasn’t even a business case in place. Why would he do that?
