My questions for the meeting
1) Councillor Derbyshire said in a filmed full council meeting that she would not give contracts to firms involved with the blacklisting scandal, yet the roadscheme contract has been awarded to Carillion. Could she please explain why she reneged on this commitment?
2) I asked about the dangerous traffic situation around the toxic waste dump school, mentioning that Councillor Alexander had herself killed someone in a road accident, so it seemed a tad hypocritical of her to brand me vexatious for raising the matter. I was informed that the question couldn’t be asked of her. I asked what rule forbade her from answering such a question but I have not yet had the courtesey of an explanation for this refusal. Could you please enlighten me as to why that question was not allowed to be put to Councillor Alexander?
