I knew when they were building houses on this site the contamination hadn’t been removed. I walked past every day, so I knew nothing had been done.
When I mentioned this to then Leader of the Council, Mark Hunter, he was, as always, furious with me for having the audacity to question this.
Fortunately, I never give up, especially when I Lib Dem is telling me to – leave it love – so in the end after a lot of effort I got the contamination removed. No apology from Hunter was ever forthcoming though.
